Phocus Soccer Camps are a unique opportunity for your organization to energize and develop the youth players and coaches of your community during the off-season. Our enthusiasm and “more than soccer” approach will get the most introverted members of your community to make connections with our international coaching team. During the camp, our focus on the pitch is based on three distinct pillars: functional athleticism, technical foundations, and cognitive ability.
All too often we see players and coaches build strength and stamina in ways that don’t align with what the game of soccer demands from the body, causing injuries and a competitive disadvantage as a result. Our coaching team includes human movement scientists who help prepare the world’s top youth talent for durable professional careers with their science-first approach to functional athleticism.
Building technical foundations in youth players is what will make them love the game for years to come. By learning how to properly control, pass, and shoot the ball, kids will naturally develop the skills to dribble, assist, and score. We like to say it’s our goal to help youth players boss the ball, before the ball bosses them.
The third pillar of our approach to youth player development is the training and development of cognitive ability. Whether we’re working with rec league or college-bound players, we believe training for a fast paced and dynamic sport like soccer can’t omit cognitive training at any level. Our fun and accessible cognition exercises will enable players to subconsciously be more aware of their surroundings, act faster, and be more coachable.

“Phocus Soccer has put on two incredibly successful summer camps for our community. Their dedication to bringing a fresh style of coaching has gotten hundreds of our membership to turn out for summer camps, which in turn has helped us with registration for regular season.”
